It’s no coincidence that the blossoming of delight in my own fat body has bloomed since my discovery of the fat positive blogs on tumblr. I needed to see other humans taking delight in their fat bodies! I needed to see that it’s okay to be proud of your temple! It’s okay to show off your fat! I wish that I had seen fat bodies represented positively in media a long long time ago. I wouldn’t have had to grow up thinking mine was abnormal and wrong. I wouldn’t have spent 3 decades trying to make my body something it’s not. To every fat body I see, I thank you for showing up. I thank you for representing. I adore all of your shapes and sizes! You are beautiful!

The number one request I get is for full body shots, especially ones to include my red hair.
I thought for the 1600 follower celebratory post I would put the timer on my phone to use and see what would turn up in the end.
The lighting had been great this week and I got a few nice photos… Although I have to admit. As much as I preach body positive posts and self love, this is still a stretch for me.
But you guys always have such nice positive things to say so I thought I’d try, since it’s so often requested….

Handle with care.

I was so scared to take these photos with this phenomenal photographer. I wore no make up, no fancy lingerie (I made the panties myself) I was completely bare & honest both physically & mentally. These photos are a tool with which I can see beauty in myself & realize that no opinions of me matter. What matters is that I choose to be in love with myself & marvel at the beauty I find in me. Thank you Andrew ;)

I have an average sized penis. My girlfriend loves it, but i see all these huge dicks on tumblr all day and it makes me hate mine

This is a body image issue that I don’t feel gets addressed enough in the world.  I don’t bring it up here very often because, let’s face it, cis male perspective is ever present everywhere else so I don’t feel much of a need to stick up for that particular demographic.
As much as I love me some porn, it definitely sells us all body types that are unrealistic (just like all media for that matter).

my favorite scars are the stretch-marks on my breasts. when I was younger I became very suddenly aware of how rarely they’re shown in media, and spent quite a bit of time trying to figure out ways to hide them. that seems so silly to me now - this sort of scarring is so incredibly common!

It’s not only common but I find the uniqueness so beautiful. I’m glad you’ve realized how nice stretch marks can be and accepted your own. It’s important for us all to realize what the media shows us is in no way an accurate representation of real life. And lucky for us we have online communities like this one so that we can share and show each other what normal really is. Thanks so much for sharing your submission with us.

monday morning. the sixteenth of september.
seven sixteen to seven twenty-four, ante meridiem.

oh, why not? it’s very rare that you get full nudes from me. let’s just call it a special occasion, brought on by a bout of body-positive feelings in the past couple of days.

i love the way these turned out. i sometimes worry that full nudes will take away from your image of me. but in addition to matters of emotion and spirit, i think most of you also regard me very much as physically female, both because of and in spite of my body.

i am not wearing any makeup at all. (i’m sorry.) i literally got out of bed, put my hair in a ponytail and went out onto my front porch. and, i should tell you that i haven’t edited these at all except for just a bit of toning.

i also should tell you that it was 39 degrees (F) outside when these were taken. quite an invigorating start to a gorgeous september day.
